Here's a game in which each move names an actor, and each actor starred in at least one film with those actors to whom they are linked by lines on the board -- and in the entire game, no movie is claimed as a link if it was already in play.  

The links are verifiable via the Internet Movie Database:

and thus games played according to these rules can be scored competitively for an indisputable win / draw / lose result.  This is an important consideration, since competitive play with definitive outcome is the preferred style of a large segment of the gaming public.

This is an ideal game to look at if you want to see how board positions and the links between them correspond to game moves (in this case the stars) and the links between them (in this case, the movies)
